Syndel and fish medicine go hand in hand, so we will be joining The American Association of Fish Veterinarians (AAFV) next week in Seattle, Washington for their annual conference.

This is an opportunity for US and Canadian vets and industry partners to share research and look ahead reguarding advancements in the industry.  This group is presenting various wet labs, advanced fish imaging learning, pathology sessions, aquatic ophthalmology, problem-based tissue sampling at necropsy, and more.  Several presentations on shark medicine, rockfish mortality, coral pathology, parasitic infections, policy decisions, diagnostic approaches to salmonids, broodstock heath management, egg incubation strategies, and several sessions on goldfish and beyond.

Tours of the Seattle Aquarium, the USGS Western Fisheries Center, Riverence’s Rochester Facility, and Keta Creek Hatchery will be available to those interested.  Banquets and social events will be unfolding throughout the event with food, drinks, and music.
