OVAPLANT® is a single-dose pellet implant containing a salmon gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogue (sGnRHa). It is used to support and synchronize maturation, ovulation, and spawning in a variety of fish species.
The pellet is administered as a single implant prior to the normal spawning period using the Ralgun Implanter.
Applications
OVAPLANT® may be used to:
- Advance maturation prior to the normal spawning season
- Synchronize spawning timing
- Support increased milt production and sperm count
- Support maturation in species that are difficult to spawn
- Address delayed or arrested maturation associated with handling or stress
Environmental and physiological conditions can affect the response to OVAPLANT® and other spawning aids. Appropriate coordination of male and female induction is important for successful spawning management.

- 150 µg per pellet
- 250 µg per pellet
Storage
Store sealed OVAPLANT® cartridges at 2–8°C (36–46°F) and protect from direct sunlight.
