Description

Syndel is proud to be a distributor of Jefo’s Protease Complex.

Jefo’s Protease Complex is a unique protease complex that when included at only 175g per metric ton, promotes improved digestibility while including less animal proteins in the feed, which in turn results in lower costs.  As fish meal inclusion is decreased the availability of proteins can also decrease. Protease complex’s increases feed protein digestibility by hydrolyzing the peptide bonds resulting in an increase in available peptides and amino acids for the fish to uptake.  Not only does the fishes growth benefit from the increased accessibility of nutrients, but their gut physiology also can improve, which in turn helps their uptake further.  Jefo’s Protease Complex has been shown effective in Tilapia, Salmonids (Coho and Atlantic Salmon, and Rainbow Trout), Carp and Shrimp feeds.

Jefo’s Protease Complex is unique in that it not only is the product stable for over a 2-year period but it is stable despite temperature fluctuations in storage and processing.  As shown by a number of tests Jefo’s Protease Complex maintains its activity even after extrusion at temperatures as high as 130°.
